LFWeekend

Allow me to correct you before we go any further, this isn’t exactly London Fashion Week, but it is an amazing little snippet of what went on. LFWeekend (last weekend) gives you catwalks from some of the great (maybe a bit under the radar?) British designers such as SIBLING and Amanda Wakely…not only that but you get great goodie bags filled with make up, hair products and magazines from the sponsors of LFW like Maybelline, Elle and Label M (by Toni and Guy).

ALSO Somerset House is stuffed with the most amazing amazing discounted clothes from the catwalks themselves and other labels, it is just simply crazy the price reductions, especially from Brands linked to The Outnet.

ANNNNND when you want to take a break from shopping, you can head to some great industry talks from bloggers, stylists, magazine editors, the lot. All in all, this is not an event to stick your nose up to, its well worth a visit and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone out there interested in a sneaky peak into the hustle and bustle of LFW.

And if your just into people watching (like me) then this is THE place to go.

So we kicked off the day with a trend catwalk by The Outnet for Spring/Summer 2015, the more affordable sister of Net-a-Porter, well not really day-to-day affordable, but every now and again i’ve bought a few great bits at very reasonable prices.

Angela Scanlon was presenting the show, her coat was so floaty and fabulous and I just love her Irish, very Annie Mac kinda accent…

The trends are….

Hyper Florals – this season botanical prints will apparently embellish everything, with oversized petals and pops of colour….this quote springs to mind..

Here are a few of my favourite pieces from this trend, firstly this amazing dress by Antonio Beradi

Florals were all over the pop-up too, me and mum were lusting after this Osman coat!!

The next trend was Shimmer and Shine – metallics like you’ve never seen before will be hitting the shelves this season (thank god I just found a pair of metallic red jeans I thought I threw out years ago). “There will be sparkles, radiant pastels and glimmering sequins, so try and work the trend into your day time wardrobe for a stye that really shakes things up!” – Angela Scanlon. This was my favourite glitzy Oscar skirt – loved the trend so much, I even bought a sneaky pink metallic one afterwards!

Making another comeback – Make it Monochrome

Alexander Wang and 3.1 Phillip Lim really brought this back, but this time in super graphic prints and oversized stripes…apparently you should go head to toe for maximum impact….

The Outnet’s own label Iris & Ink featured heavily here…i love the little leather Ava top!

Finally, they saved the best trend till last, That Seventies Show – so many people and magazines have been harking on about this trend, SUEDE is back big time, so is crochet and lace…here are some of my favourite looks
