Tomato Red is not the world’s easiest colour sartorially speaking. Though I love the small juicy vegetable, I have always struggled to buy, style and wear red clothes. I always felt like it really washed me out, my skin is frequently causing havoc and I thought my red spots should not match my red clothes!
But…this Autumn/Winter rather than revert to err’thang black, grey and camel. I’ve decided to buy items with pops of colour. I really think it makes you stand out more from the crowd, people are drawn to the colour and besides when you wear all black, no-one can actually tell what you are wearing.
This & Other Stories jumper caught my eye for two reasons. Firstly because of the colour, secondly because of the nice price tag. It’s £35 which I think is pretty reasonable for a winter knit, it is really good quality and washes well!
At the same time as the jumper I also bought some leopard print socks. I know that leopard print is back in this A/W, but I haven’t bought into it yet because I am just not sure what to buy and so many of the shirts and tops look quite cheap. If I could afford the Equipment version then it would be fine. But these leopard print socks were only £5 and a good way to ease myself into the trend! Do you like them??
